Villeroy & Boch launches new cutlery
Dubai, November 3, 2009
Villeroy & Boch has unveiled three new products in the cutlery segment: the horn cutlery Meadows as a topical in-subject, the children’s cutlery NewWave and the new campaign cutlery Arthur.
Horn cutlery Meadows
The natural material of horn is currently celebrating a comeback: authentic and with a hint of romanticism it stands for luxury and rural chic, a statement said.
With the horn cutlery Meadows, the company is offering a noble yet affordable cutlery with horn-look handles. The colours in nuances of brown, cream and beige are injected during production, so that every handle has an individual hue.
The fronts are made of wrought, brushed 18/10 stainless steel and their satin finish con-trasts effectively with the shiny handles. The horn cutlery Meadows goes particularly well with the modern Country tableware Urban Nature and many other white tableware sets, said the statement.
NewWave children’s cutlery
In order to make the successful design of NewWave also attractive for children’s eyes and hands, Villeroy & Boch has developed children’s cutlery as a water quartet using the extravagant NewWave design.
To do this, details of the mimic and anatomy of sea dwellers have been cited: the fork shows the octopus with tentacles as prongs. The soupspoon with its large bowl is reminiscent of a whale and the teaspoon with its small bowl and orange handle resembles the clown fish Nemo. The fish-shaped knife interprets the "smile" of a dolphin. The bright colours of the plastic handles are inspired by the underwater world and give the cutlery a cheerful feel.
Campaign cutlery Arthur
Arthur is a timelessly elegant cutlery with a classical touch. A special design feature are the pointed ends of the handles. Arthur thus completes the spectrum of shapes in the campaign range – square handle ends for Victor and round ones for Oscar, said the statement.-TradeArabia News Service
