Tasmeem Doha 2008 Exhibition, organised by the Virginia Commonwealth University - Qatar (VCUQ), has won Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) backing.

A sponsorship contract was signed recently at VCUQ in Education City by QNB assistant general manager (Corporate Communication) Hamad al-Nuaimi and VCUQ dean Allyson Vanstone, a report in Gulf Times said.

Tasmeem Doha 2008 will take place at VCUQ from March 3-6 and will include 13 international designers, design exhibitions and panel discussions.

This sponsorship comes in line with QNB’s support to education in the country. The bank is keen on providing students with the opportunity to learn from highly talented professionals who will speak at the event and present their worldwide experience during the event, a bank spokesman said.

QNB has been supporting some of the best graduates of VCUQ since 2003 as part of its commitment to support educational endeavours by Qatar Foundation.
