New chief for Bahrain's National Intelligence Agency
MANAMA, July 10, 2024
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has issued a royal decree appointing Brigadier General Bassam Mohammed Khamis Al Maraj as the new president of Bahrain's National Intelligence Agency (NIA) starting from August 1, 2024, reported the Bahrain News Agency.
As per Decree (28) of 2024, Brigadier General Bassam shall be promoted to the rank of Major General, it stated.
