Sadeem launches second ‘biggest influencer’ contest

DUBAI, December 3, 2018

Sadeem, the largest digital competition in the Arab world on social media, is back with a big hunt for the most powerful young content creators who will compete for the title of the next biggest influencer in the Arab world.

The registration for the second season kicked off on November 1 and will last until December 15.
To register for the contest, participants need to shoot a one-minute video in which they will show their skills in the content industry. The video should contain the phrase "This is my message to the world".
After filming the video, participants can follow all the registration steps on the www.sadeem.com website.

The first season, which garnered millions of views, received more than 17,000 applications, where 20 of them were selected to participate in the competition to win SR 1 million and a trip to Silicon Valley. After 10 weeks of wading through tough challenges and fierce competitions, Ali Al Neyadi of Oman became the Season 1 winner and earned the title of Arab’s Next Biggest Influencer.

The second season competition is expected to be tougher than the previous edition as the participants will have to pass through several stages of creativity and innovation. At the end of this thrilling journey, the winner will receive SR 1 million and the opportunity to produce his own programme on social media.

The jury will comprise some of the most influential names in the Mena region, including Asia from Kuwait, Dezad Joker from Algeria, Zap Tharwat from Egypt and Ahmed Sherif from Bahrain. The programme will be presented by Sherif Fayed from Egypt.

Entry requirements are simple: Content must be personal, innovative and in Arabic, the participant must be over 18 years of age and is able to travel to Beirut for three months. It will be an all-expenses paid trip by Sadeem.

After the entry submission deadline on December 15, the jury will evaluate applications of participants, where 50 per cent weightage will be given to the subscription video and 50 per cent for the previously published content on the applicant's social media accounts.

By taking part in this competition, participants will get an opportunity to meet with the biggest influencers, experts from the globally acclaimed media companies such as YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and learn tricks of the trade from them.

Once the competition is over, Sadeem will invest in the ideas of the participants by producing their own programmes and signing agreements and sponsorship contracts with them. – TradeArabia News Service
