This initiative from PAN Emirates is the second consecutive one. The initiative in 2017 turned out to be a huge success with the total contribution of the 1 per cent of the sales coming up to Dh265,000 ($73,135). This year the noble cause of food distribution in the labour camps has been extensive, so far more than 15,000 food packs have been distributed. The luxury home-grown brand is looking to contribute a larger amount with the support it its customers this year.
Mohammed Katawalla, deputy managing director and group finance director at PAN Emirates said: “This initiative is a selfless act centred around emotions and human values, which we strongly believe in. We are so happy to be able to help Senses through our initiative and commitment of giving 1 per cent of our sale during the holy month.
“Moreover, the holy month of Ramadan is all about giving and like every year, we are giving back with whatever we can to bring comfort to people in need from distributing food in labour camps to supporting the efforts of institutions like SENSES.”
"We understand how challenging it must be to run an institution like SENSES, " said Hridesh Methwani, marketing head, at PAN Emirates.
“The centre phenomenally takes care of every basic and medical need of all the 130 kids, so supporting them with the campaign #panemiratesgivesback is a privilege for us. The awareness campaign has been running on air and we are also promoting it through influencers, not just for the 1 per cent donation that we have committed, but also for generating awareness to support this centre and encouraging people to come forward and volunteer."
Nadia Al Sayegh, owner of SENSES Residential and Day Care for Special Needs said:“We truly appreciate the support extended by PAN Emirates. This generous initiative will certainly help us in providing children with better facilities and amenities. It is a beautiful selfless act which shows how much PAN Emirates cares about the cause we are involved in. We pray that their efforts are rewarded in leaps and bounds.”
