Dubai SME to host 30 entrepreneurs at Global Village
DUBAI, September 23, 2017
Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME), a part of Dubai’s Department of Economic Development, will be playing host to 30 entrepreneurs at the 22nd season of the Global Village when it opens its doors on November 1.
The initiative, in collaboration with the Global Village Dubai, comes as part of its plans to support SMEs with its partners and provide opportunities for young people to start and develop their businesses through the global village, which will in the future contribute to supporting the economy of Dubai and the UAE in general, said the state news agency Wam.
The Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment provides incentive benefits and discounts through the participant paying a nominal fee for renting the site, throughout the whole period of the global village, for about 30 projects from different sectors, as well as allocating new and distinct sites to members, it stated.
Saeed Matar Al Marri, the deputy CEO, Dubai SME, said the goal of the institution was to shorten the time for entrepreneurs by engaging them in experiences to display their products and enter the business world.
The partnership with the Global Village comes to the large influx of visitors, which is estimated in millions, it added.
