Nomadic Capital among top start-up award finalists

Dubai-based Nomadic Capital Limited, company specialised in importing the latest inventions to the UAE, has been named a finalist for the prestigious “Start-Up Business of the Year Award” of the 2017 Gulf SME Awards, the company said.
The 2017 Gulf SME Awards is a programme that was launched five years ago by Meed and celebrates the success, growth, and innovation of SMEs.
The Gulf SME Award is one of the most prestigious honours in the UAE for SMEs and entrepreneurs.
Nomadic co-founder Stephanie Khouri said: “We are delighted to be in the final of such a respected and much sought after award this year and I am extremely proud of the entire Nomadic Capital team”.
The “Start-Up Business of the Year” finalists include: Caramel and Sun, Deborah Henning, Fruitful Day, Hale Education Group, Smart Shelter, insydo, Liquorice Productions, New Shifts, Richmond Works, Seez and Smart Navigation Systems.
“Nomadic Capital has always excelled in this category, showing fantastic expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship,” said Zaid Ghosn, co-founder.
The final winner will be announced on October 11 at the awards event at The Westin Mina Seyahi, Dubai.
Founded in February 2015, Nomadic introduced new concepts such as the Automat, the Middle East’s first temperature-controlled hot and cold food dispensing machine, and several innovative digital applications, the company said. - TradeArabia News Service
