Evonik, a German industrial group, has signed up as a corporate member of Dubai Opera.

The initiative is a part of the company’s continuous efforts to endorse the regional arts and culture scene, said a statement.

“Creativity is at the core of the Evonik values and brand personality. Our chemists innovate every day in order to develop formulas that support the global trends of increasing resource efficiency, creating healthier nutrition and improving the standards of living,” said Michael Wring, president of Evonik Gulf, Middle East and North Africa.

“We chose to be corporate members of Dubai Opera because we believe creativity is the key to our success and we would like to promote it in the local community,” Wring added.

Evonik supports many arts and culture initiatives across the world including the Balthasar Neumann Orchestra and the prestigious German theatre festival, Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen.
