MEFCC 2017 reveals more surprises for its sixth edition

The Middle East Film and Comic Con (MEFCC), powered by Rani for 2017, is all set to pack a punch with a host of star appearances and exciting new additions such as the International Artist’s Alley.
The event will revive its successful run at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from April 6 to 8 for its sixth edition with Early Bird Tickets officially selling out in less than two weeks from the ticket announcement. The coveted VIP Power Pass will rapidly following suit.
The MEFCC has gained a solid reputation of showcasing the best regional and international talent, celebrity guests, pop culture exhibitors, thrilling activities and more for a wide global audience, and is geared up to recreate its success on a larger scale than ever before.
Falcon and Kane to descend upon Dubai as headline acts for the MEFCC
Fans of American actor Anthony Mackie, best known for playing the role of Falcon in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Avengers: Age of Ultron, will have a chance to get up close and personal with the man himself.
WWE enthusiasts will also be thrilled to meet Glenn Thomas Jacobs, best known by his ring name Kane. The American professional wrestler and actor is signed with the WWE, where he is currently working on the SmackDown brand.

Fans of American filmmaker, actor, comedian, and public speaker Kevin Smith, will be delighted to know that MEFCC will be arranging an opportunity for them to speak to him over an exclusive live broadcast Q&A session. Smith rose to prominence with the comedy film Clerks which he produced, directed and played the role of Silent Bob. He also shares a close connection with the comic fraternity being a comic book nerd and writer himself and also founded Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash, a comic book store in Red Bank, New Jersey, that is the subject of the reality-television show Comic Book Men.
Greg Grunberg, Cas Anvar, Pooja Batra and Mohammad Al Aribi to make an appearance
Other big names such as American television and film actor Greg Grunberg of NBC TV series Heroes and Star Wars: The Force Awakens; award-winning actor Cas Anvar known for his roles in Oscar-winning best pictures (Argo) and biopics (Diana); Pooja Batra the leading actress of Hollywood sci-fi film One Under the Sun; and music composing, singer and song writer, father son duo for Spacetoon TV channel Mohammad and Tareq AlAribi Tourgane will all be adding some major star presence to the event.
Three international cosplayers poised to grace MEFCC
Fans at this year’s edition will receive the exclusive opportunity to meet international cosplayers Linda Le, Nicole Marie Jean and Madeleine “Zhiana” Rose. Linda Le rose to popularity in her show The Nerdist and for her costumes which were a worldwide success after being featured on Marvel.com. Also present at the event will be famous cosplayer, artist, sculptor and designer Nicole Marie Jean who began her journey into the cosplay and convention world in 2011 and has since created over 100 costumes, the most popular of which has earned her the nickname of Lady Bane throughout the cosplay community. And finally, an MEFCC favorite Madeleine “Zhiana” Rose who has been cosplaying since 2010 and is also a host and writer on Maude Garrett’s YoutTube channel ‘Geek Bomb’ will be back this year.
International Artists Alley officially opens
Another exciting feature to MEFCC 2017 is the launch of the International Artists Alley, which will see more than 30 professional artists from across the world wowing devout comic and film enthusiasts in a move to top the success of previous years.
Chad Hardin, also known for his work on the Harley Quinn comics by DC, is one of the talents confirmed to attend this edition. Simone Bianchi whose art portfolio includes work for the DC miniseries, Shining Knights and for Marvel (Wolverine, Astonishing X-Men, Thor: For Asgard and the New Avengers, to name a few), will also be present. James Mulligan whose fine art work is collected internationally, and resides in the collections of celebrities such as Hugh Hefner and Brad Pitt, and who was recently named as one of Disney’s top selling artists will also be at the event.
Other artists who have been confirmed for MEFCC are Jason Shiga, Livio Ramondelli, Yishan Li, Des Taylor, Elly Prizeman, Guy Gilchrist, Jon-Paul Kaiser, Marco Santucci, Maria Laura Sanapo, Mike Toth, Roderick E.
