Icflix to enable direct operator billing in ME
DUBAI, September 27, 2016
Icflix, a leading Internet streaming service in the Mena region, has partnered with SLA Digital, an international digital services company, to bring direct operator billing to more customers in the Middle East.
Founded in 2013, Icflix is a streaming and VoD platform that provides customers access to the best of Jazwood (Arabic), Hollywood and Bollywood content, including the largest library of Arabic movies and TV shows available online alongside kids’ entertainment and documentaries.
The service is available in English, Arabic and French and can be accessed worldwide for Jazwood and Bollywood content whereas Hollywood content is only available in the Mena market.
Direct Operator Billing will allow both prepaid and post-paid users the ability to subscribe and access Icflix’s library of content for a monthly, weekly or daily fee depending on the user’s preference. The transaction is simply added the customer’s bill or deducted from their prepaid credit.
Ashley O’Kane, corporate communications manager at SLA Digital said: "Our partnership with Icflix strengthens our content offering to mobile operators in the Middle East and Asia. We are delighted to partner with such an innovative provider of streaming and VoD content and look forward to developing our relationship with Icflix via Direct Operator Billing.”
Carlos Tibi, founder and CEO at Icflix said: “We are happy to have partnered with SLA Digital to access more of the Mena market through valuable Direct Operator Billing connections with mobile operators. We focus on ensuring that our customers can receive our content with ease and without compromising on quality.
