Dubai-based developer Nakheel has further strengthened its partnership with Reel Cinemas, the premium provider of innovative cinema experiences in the region, with a new collaboration for a five-screen luxury movie and entertainment centre at The Pointe, the Dh800-million ($217.76 million) waterfront dining and leisure destination on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.

Reel Cinemas is managed by Emaar Entertainment.

Reel Cinemas at The Pointe will be a boutique offering and the first Dine-In Cinema in the region, featuring a movie theatre within a restaurant. It offers an exceptional new cinema experience that will be further highlighted by the latest advances in audio-visual technology, ergonomic seating and personalised service.

The Dine-In Cinema offers a delectable selection of culinary delights that will enhance the movie-going experience for all members of the family.

Reel Cinemas at The Pointe further builds on the reputation of Emaar Entertainment, the operator of the country’s busiest cineplexes in redefining the cinema experience in the UAE, with assets including the largest flagship laser cineplex in the world.

Last year, Nakheel and Reel Cinemas confirmed a 14-screen movie complex for Al Khail Avenue mall, another addition to Nakheel’s growing range of large-scale retail projects under development.

Located at the tip of Palm Jumeirah across the bay from Atlantis The Palm, The Pointe spans 1.4 million sq ft and will feature dazzling fountain shows, a 1.5 km promenade and nearly 150 restaurants and retail outlets for seafront dining, shopping and socialising.  

The Pointe will be accessible via The Palm Monorail, which is connected to the Dubai Tram and Dubai Metro, and by boat from Palm Jumeirah’s growing number of resorts. There is also a car park with 1,600 spaces.   - TradeArabia News Service
