The registration for 'Bahrain Eye,' which will give participants the chance to develop their skills and win a range of prizes began on November 8, said a statement.
Those interested should visit the contest website to register and view all information including related terms and conditions, it said.
Bahrain Eye, organised by Batelco’s Youth Marketing Team, features four categories and is open to everyone who is interested in photography.
The participants can compete with up to two photos in any or all of the following categories - Places in Bahrain; People in Bahrain; Nature and Wildlife in Bahrain; Bahrain National Day; and Communication.
The photos can be colour or black and white with a minimum resolution of 2,500 pixels and participants may submit up to two photos in each category, said the statement.
The entries can be submitted through the website up until December 9.
The winning photos will enter a display gallery that will take place at Seef Mall from December 24 to 31.
As part of the contest, a number of free workshops and photo walks will take place as a benefit for those who are interested in learning about the basic skills of photography or improving on their skills, under the guidance of expert photographers in the field.
The workshop titles are Lighting, Fashion and Makeup Photo Shoot, Beauty Photography and Landscape.
