A new cinema boasting the country’s largest screen is expected to open on July 31 in Seef Mall Muharraq.

The long-awaited IMAX cinema has been brought to the country by Emirati company Novo Cinema, which has already opened theatres in the UAE and Qatar, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Seef Properties general manager Robert Addison yesterday said the Novo Cinema would be opened this weekend.

“Novo Cinema in Muharraq Mall will open on Thursday with IMAX,” he said on Twitter.

“Sorry no timings or movies at the moment. Check Novo website nearer the time. #Worthwaiting for.

“I’m pretty sure Ant Manwill be there.”

IMAX is a motion picture film format and a set of cinema projection standards known for its large screens and high-definition projection. - TradeArabia News Service
