Bahrain’s biggest annual gaming convention is returning for its third year in October.

The IGN Convention will be held at the Bahrain International Circuit on October 2 and 3, confirmed organisers, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The event will bring to Bahrain a number of pop-culture, gaming and TV celebrities, which are yet to be announced.

“We are always trying to take things to another level,” said IGN Convention Bahrain organising committee head Omar Abdulaziz.

“Last year was Bahrain's biggest event of this kind to date and the challenge this year will be to beat that, and provide an unforgettable event for all those who attend.”

Last year, the celebrity line-up included actor Hafthor Julius Bjornsson, who starred as 'The Mountain' in the Game of Thrones, American voice actor and musician Troy and IGN's The Daily Fix host Naomi Kyle.

A major part of the convention is the introduction and celebration of the best and latest films, shows and video-games.

“IGN Convention has grown from strength to strength in Bahrain and we're very excited about what we have on show for 2015,” said IGN Middle East director Hitesh Uchil.
