Bahrain is calling artists to take part in an international fair to be hosted in the kingdom later this year.

The four-day Art Bahrain will take place from October 13 to October 16 in a specially-constructed 50-metre diameter marquee near the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.

The event will be held under the patronage of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty King Hamad and Supreme Council for Women president.

It is expected to host up to 200 international collectors, around 2,000 VIP clients and approximately 10,000 visitors.

Galleries taking part in the event include Albemarle Gallery from the UK, Al Riwaq Art Space from Bahrain, Arabian Collections Gallery from Saudi Arabia, Elmarsa Gallery from Tunisia and the UAE and Marsam Mattar from the UAE.

Artists taking part include Indians Binoy Varghese and Jaideep Mehrotra, Briton Sacha Jafri and Bahraini Jamal Abdulrahim. – TradeArabia News Service
