Samsung UHD TVs to offer Shahid App

Samsung Electronics, a leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, said its UHD televisions are now offering  viewers the free and exclusive Shahid App.

It is the region’s leading Catch-up service to browse a new world of Arabic contents, said a statute.

The Shahid App contains a library of over 1,400 Arabic movies titles with exclusive MBC contents and thousands of entertainment hours for all family members to enjoy.

It offers with this new update, ‘Personalizing features,’ so users are able to create their profile to follow programmes and series.

They are also enabled to craft a ‘queue’ of videos to watch later and track the history of videos watched in the past.

MBC Shahid App can be downloaded on Samsung Smart TV in a few steps. Users can just open Smart Hub and download the application which is available in the ‘Featured app Panel’ for free. They can also register on shahid.net by logging into their account from any other device and access their “Personalising feature” of Shahid App.

“Users will be able to enjoy premium content in line with Samsung’s continued efforts to enrich the user experience as the new Shahid App version and launch of the new Games’ Panel with 100 titles was especially designed for Samsung UHD TVs.”
