Henley & Partners, a leader in residence and citizenship planning, has launched the ‘H&P Global Citizen’ award.

The award will distinguish and honour an inspirational global citizen whose extraordinary achievements have improved the global community and contributed to transnational thinking and a more understanding, tolerant world, said a statement.

The inaugural award will remain open for entries until June 1, it said.

Marco Gantenbein, managing partner, H&P Dubai Office, said: “We are excited to launch the H&P Global Citizen award which will be held annually going forward. The award is a unique opportunity to recognise and celebrate an individual, group or company who spends a great amount of time and effort to improve our global community.

“We are looking for extraordinary people who go beyond the call of duty, demonstrate excellent vision, courage or commitment, and have a direct and positive impact on the lives of other people.”

The decision will be made by the Award Committee, an independent body of distinguished individuals who will select the annual laureate through a majority decision. The selection process is confidential, said the statement.

The candidates may be individuals, groups or organisations, and anyone may nominate a candidate for the award. Nominations should have detailed accounts of the nominee’s work and solid references to support the submission, it said.

The award will be presented during Henley & Partners’ ninth Global Residence and Citizenship Conference in Dubai in November, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
