Unesco, Panasonic unveil 2015 World Heritage calendar app

The Unesco World Heritage Centre and Panasonic Corporation have released the new 2015 World Heritage calendar application for personal computers (PCs) and tablets.
The calendar application is available in five languages - Japanese, English, French, Chinese and Spanish, said a statement.
After installing the application on a PC or tablet, the user can enjoy stunning photographs of World Heritage sites from around the world, it said.
January features a photograph of Shiretoko, which is one of the World Heritage Sites in Japan. The calendar also includes fun facts and trivia about World Heritage sites, and the pictures can be viewed as a slideshow.
The application was developed as an educational tool for the Unesco Associated Schools Project Network of more than 9,000 educational institutions in 180 countries, and Panasonic plans to enhance the content of the calendar in the future. - TradeArabia News Service
