SGI Dubai set to draw 400 global firms

Dubai, November 24, 2013

SGI Dubai 2014, a major sign, graphic and imaging show, expects to welcome more than 400 global exhibitors from across 30 countries as well as over 10,000 trade visitors from 75 countries during the event next month.

International Expo Consults (IEC), part of Falak Holding, has announced that the company will unveil the 17th edition of the show running from January 7 to 9 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

SGI Dubai has been spearheading this industry for the last 16 years and has created a solid platform for exhibitors and trade visitors within this industry.

The show brings sign makers, print and production manufacturers, architects, media agencies, real-estate developers, brand and image consultants all under one roof.

IEC was established on April 15, 1994. On reaching this milestone year, Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, chairman of IEC stated: “When we started our journey 19 years ago we had a dream of making this one of the largest shows of its kind in the region.  We have reached that goal and now we are setting targets to grow the show even bigger with each passing year.”

“We are confident that we will bring in new dimensions to the show based on the growing industry requirements and our research team is on top of this. Our show is aptly positioned to cater to the demands of the industry and is in sync with the exponential growth that Dubai is witnessing.”

“We are confident that Dubai is on the verge of winning the EXPO2020 bid and that will be a great platform for not only the UAE but the entire Middle East,” added Falaknaz.

Sharif Rahman, CEO, IEC said: “It’s a momentous year for us and we will introduce new components which will be unveiled closer to the show. We had a strong turnout from across the GCC as well as East Africa, the Sub Continent, Europe, Asia and US among other geographies. The quality of visitors who attended the last edition of our show was amongst the best we have ever seen and we expect the trend to continue into 2014 and beyond.”

“For our company SGI Dubai has been beneficial and we have been exhibiting for several years now. We find SGI be a good ground to meet with our potential customers and current clients to take the relationship further,” said Kadri Ceylan, founder, Flex-Europa, UK.

“This is a great platform to introduce new product range to new and existing customers. We are showcased innovative products at SGI 2013. Traditionally, we used to get customers from Gulf region and North African and African countries but recently we have seen customers from Europe as well such as France and UK,” he added.

“Definitely SGI Dubai is the show to be in for the Sign, Graphic and Imaging community in the Middle East.  We have received lots of interest for our products through this show over the years. I also request the players in the industry to pitch in every year and I am sure they will be as successful as we are,” said Yasin Merchant, managing director, Signtrade International. – TradeArabia News Service
