PepsiCo-Jordan concert to feature top singers

Amman, October 22, 2013

PepsiCo-Jordan is set to host a concert featuring popular Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahhab and Arab Idol contestant Yousef Arafat.

The concert is scheduled to take place on November 1 at the Prince Hamzah Sports Hall in Al Hussein Sports City, it was announced during a press conference.

It corresponds with Pepsi’s new slogan, entitled ‘Yalla Now,’ which represents a progressive mindset and lifestyle and spurs young individuals to live life to the fullest and aspire towards a bright future brimming with possibilities, said a statement.

The Yalla Now slogan encourages youth to love life and adventure, and motivates them to seize the moment and succeed on different fronts, it said.

The concert’s proceeds will go to the Positive Water Balance Project, which is implemented by the Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI) and was adopted by PepsiCo-Jordan in 2011. It is aimed at restoring 567 sq m of water through water harvesting and mitigating water loss.

Rateb Al-Adwan, director of the Water Desalination Department at MWI, said: “We would like to thank PepsiCo-Jordan for continuously organizing activities and events that actively contribute to local community development and environment conservation, especially in the area of water reservation.” - TradeArabia News Service
