Middle East Events honours top ideas

A total of 20 regional events including the 40th UAE National Day celebration, Sharjah International Book Fair, GCC Games opening ceremony were honoured at the Middle East Events Awards 2012 ceremony held in Dubai.

All the leading ideas and works in the past calendar year from across the Mena region vied for the coveted trophy in 20 categories, said the organisers of the annual showpiece event of the region' events industry.

Some of the biggest names in the industry were at the gala on the night of May 2 to celebrate excellence, according to Dubai-based entourage, which has been at the award ceremony, supporting the organization and hosting of the event from day 1.

The company has built a strong reputation of providing effective marketing solutions in events, advertising and brand building.

Mohammed Tayem, Managing Director, entourage marketing and events, said: “We believe in creating inspirations by setting examples. The Middle East Events Awards 2012 is our way of showcasing the best ideas and events solutions in the region.”

The 40th UAE National Day celebration, Sharjah International Book Fair, GCC Games opening ceremony, World Economic Forum and Google were some of the biggest events that were in contention for top honours.

Handing over the trophies to winners, entourage chief Mohammed Tayem encouraged the winners to keep up the good work, while inspiring the 700 others present at the awards function to build on recognized standards of ideation and events solutions.
