Bahrain Network names Chief Technical Officer

Bahrain Network (BNET), the national organisation responsible for providing fiber-based broadband network in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has appointed a Chief Technical Officer (CTO), who was earlier Director of Infrastructure.

Dr Mohamed Tayeb Mahmood brings about 20 years of extensive experience in technical leadership, operations management, strategic planning, and advisory roles.

He joined BNET in 2022 as Director of Infrastructure, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company's technological foundation and meeting the government mandate for the rollout of fiber.

Dr Mohamed holds a PhD from Brunel University London, a Master's Degree in Internet Technology from Aston University in the UK, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Bahrain.

Ahmed Jaber Alhogbani Aldoseri, CEO of BNET, said: “I am proud to have such a distinguished Bahraini expert in this critical position.
