MANAMA, September 19, 2017
Avaya, a top real-time communication solutions provider, has opened its new office in Bahrain as part of its strategy to support the kingdom’s digital transformation efforts and meet growing demand for next-generation solutions.
Avaya has experienced rapid growth in Bahrain as organizations adopt emerging technologies to reduce costs, boost employee productivity and enhance customer engagement. With Bahrain’s IT industry rapidly maturing, public and private-sector organizations are looking to leverage emerging technologies, including cloud, analytics, the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence, to play their part in Bahrain’s economic development and help to create new jobs.
Avaya’s presence in the Kingdom is also represented through strategic business partnerships with some of the most innovative companies in Bahrain, including Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco), Viva Bahrain, Fakhro Electronics and Maicom IT Services.
Through these collaborations, Avaya’s communication solutions are deployed with prominent, public-sector customers including the recent ICT infrastructure transformation of Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), the national oil company of Bahrain. The company has also worked closely with private-sector businesses such as Idbar Bank, Mesk Holding and YBA Kanoo to enable the delivery of superior customer experiences.
Programs aimed at exploring new communication and collaboration technologies in Bahrain are being driven in part by sizeable eGovernment and eCommerce initiatives aimed at achieving economic diversification.
Bahrain’s ICT sector is already witnessing 10.3 per cent annual revenue growth and is projected to reach $2.7 billion by 2020.
“We are happy to see that Avaya are launching an office in Bahrain. The company’s presence goes hand in hand with our efforts to strengthen our communication infrastructure, helping to promote the Kingdom as a hub for innovation in the region. Avaya’s collaboration with the public and private sectors in Bahrain will provide valuable support to upcoming and ongoing projects and we look forward to seeing companies based in Bahrain take advantage of their experience and expertise in the field,” said Khalid Al Rumaihi, chief executive at the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB).
“The Kingdom’s efforts to create an open and favourable business environment have made this country an attractive centre for business while encouraging investments to diversify the economy. Our priority is enabling our customers’ success. With the opening of this new office, we aim to provide them and our partners with easy access to our products, services and solutions to support and enhance their digital strategies,” said Nidal Abou-Ltaif, president, Avaya International. – TradeArabia News Service
