Etisalat has launched a new promotion offering mobile prepaid and post-paid customers travelling abroad a simplified and discounted flat rate of Dh3 ($0.816) on any outgoing roaming calls.

The limited time offer slashes current roaming outgoing charges by up to 77 per cent and allows calling in 188 countries through more than 600 roaming partnerships, said a statement from the UAE telecom company.

Starting today until July 15, the promotional tariff on roaming outgoing calls will be offered to all Etisalat roaming customers by default, it stated.

Khaled El Khouly, the chief marketing officer, said: "For customers travelling overseas during the promotion period, we are happy to announce our highly discounted rate for outgoing roaming calls. To make it possible, we instituted a call back service that is easy and beneficial in terms of pricing for customers."

"At the flat Dh3/min rate, it will more than fulfil their desire to stay connected with their friends and family not just back home or in the country of travel, but also world over," noted El Khouly.

"This offer is an extension to our tailored services for customers travelling abroad. We recently launched an Etisalat Traveler’s Helpline for post-paid customers, allowing them to reach out to the helpline for free by simply dialing *145*8002300#”, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
