DUBAI, April 16, 2015

Wacom has regrouped its operations, which have been managed on regional basis, into global business units according to user categories, with a view of addressing market needs more quickly and flexibly, and to accelerate further business growth.

To execute each organisation’s missions effectively, executive vice presidents (EVP) have been assigned to respective business units, replacing the current executive officer system, said a statement.

Under the new global organisation, a management team will be responsible for managing business activities, replacing the current executive officer system.

It includes Masahiko Yamada, representative director, president and chief executive officer (in charge of Platform and Application BU and Technology Solution BU); Shigeki Komiyama, director, EVP (in charge of Business Solution BU and Engineering Solution BU); Wataru Hasegawa, director, EVP (chief financial officer); Jeffery Mandell, EVP (in charge of Creative BU and Consumer BU); Koji Shimoda, EVP (in charge of engineering and QA); Aaron Atkinson, EVP (chief information and operation officer); Tom Lam, EVP (in charge of China operation); and Robert Marlinghaus, EVP (in charge of HR)

“We are at a critical juncture to leap into the new territory, in which people around the world including creative professionals as well as ordinary citizen who use digital pens for business, education and daily lives can freely and creatively capture, express and share ideas via the cloud,” said Yamada.

“With its new organization set-up Wacom wants to ensure that the company takes advantage of its expertise and assets to support those people and grow business further into the future,” he added. - TradeArabia News Service
