MANAMA, March 25, 2015
Bahrain's government is now capable of confronting any cyber attackers, it was revealed yesterday (March 24).
The Central Informatics Organisation (CIO) data security directorate's general director Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa said the organisation possesses the capacity to confront any cyber attack, praising the advanced training of its employees in the use of hi-tech security programmes, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
He said the CIO pays considerable heed to the protection of data, citing the organisation of the first Forum on Data Security Protection recently.

He said services are available for citizens 24/7 to carry out their transactions anytime even during holidays, which necessitated the presence of an integrated team.
