Bahrain firm offers IT emergency steps

Manama, November 5, 2012

Bahrain-based security firm Reload Consulting Services has launched the kingdom’s first Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), which will provide firms measures to protect against IT-related incidents.

The services, developed by Reload Consulting in partnership with international firms including Varese-secure (UK), Secure Matrix (India) and Qualys (USA), also include malware detection and IP reputation.

The Malware Detection Service allows organisations to proactively scan their websites for malware, providing automated alerts and in-depth reporting to enable prompt identification and resolution.

It also enables organisations to protect their customers from malware infections and safeguard their brand reputations. Reload Consulting’s Incident Response Team is highly qualified and capable of addressing issues from the trigger point until complete closure with postmortem analysis, a statement said.

Ahmed Husain, managing director of Reload Consulting Services, said: “We are delighted to be making this announcement today, which widens the access as well as the range of the world-class information security services that we offer businesses in Bahrain and the GCC.”

“We would like to thank Bahrain EDB for their assistance in making this happen, and we look forward to continued success with our international partners Varese-secure, Secure Matrix and Qualys.”

Vivian Jamal, director of Business Development at the Bahrain Economic Development Board, said: “The Kingdom has long been the region’s technological pioneer, with liberal and forward-thinking ICT policies to encourage innovation and development.”

“As such, we are very proud that Reload Consulting has launched the country’s first CERT facility. The facility will provide a real boost to companies of all sizes, not only in Bahrain but also across the region, who can rely on these services to ensure their IT infrastructure and data remain safe,” Jamal added. – TradeArabia News Service
