JCS, int@j ink cooperation deal

The Jordan Computer Society (JCS) and the Information Technology Association of Jordan (int@j) signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the two associations.
The MOU entails creating a unified representation of the whole ICT Sector between the two associations, and cooperation on developing programmes to serve the sector as a whole. int@j will focus on corporate membership, and JCS will focus on individuals.
The Jordanian Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Marwan Juma, who was present during the signing of the MoU, said: “Jordan is leading the way into becoming a regional hub for ICT through continuous investing in its core capabilities, such MoU translates into reaping a competitive advantage for both parties and the whole ICT sector taking advantages of this joint cooperation.”
Aiman Mazahreh, chairman of int@j, said: “Such partnership will definitely result in a great deal of mutual success for both parties and members of both Associations in addition to the larger ICT segment in Jordan through focused programmes”.
Azzam Shwehat, chairman of JCS, added “This initiative will provide both parties with more avenues for growth and it serves Jordan Computer Society to attain its goals and support its objectives”.
int@j was established in the year 2000 to serve corporate members and companies working in the ICT sector, JCS was established in 1986 to represent workers in the sector. – TradeArabia News Service
