Fortinet, Secureway at Gitex
Dubai, July 22, 2007
Fortinet said it will highlight its recently launched FortiGate multi-threat security platforms at Gitex Technology Week 2007.
Fortinet will be participating alongside its Middle East distributor, Secureway on Stand Z-P20; Zabeel Hall of Gitex.
FortiGate-3810A, launched last month, will be demonstrated in the Middle East for the first time during Gitex 2007.
This latest Fortinet multi-threat security platform is specifically targeted to large enterprises and MSSPs.
It provides unrivalled security performance to address the requirements of next-generation networks and bandwidth-intensive applications.
Gitex builds upon the global interest in the Middle East’s ICT landscape by presenting a week of dedicated trade segments.
These segments include Gitex Business Solutions, GULFCOMMS and Consumer Electronics focusing on the region’s fastest growing sectors – IT business solutions, telecommunications and consumer electronics.
Fortinet isa the pioneer and leading provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions.
Fortinet will also be demonstrating, for the first time in the region, its FortiGate-224B, the first in a line of unified security and networking platforms that uniquely integrate multiple layers of threat protection with granular security access controls.
FortiGate-224B, also launched earlier this year, is a new class of high-performance LAN security devices that enforce internal security policies at the network access layer to blunt intrusion attempts, viruses, worms, denial-of-service attacks and blended threats at wire speed.
“Gitex is the one of the most important IT events in the Middle East and I’m very excited to leverage this show to demonstrate for the first time two industry-leading security products,” said Bashar Bashaireh, regional manager ME for Fortinet.
“Our participation this year will also be the opportunity to prove to our customers and partners that Fortinet has strongly invested in the Middle East through the addition of key resources, including dedicated sales and support engineers, to ensure that our partners have the necessary infrastructure to grow their business and better serve their customers.”
In addition to FortiGate-3810A and FortiGate 224B, Fortinet will also be displaying, among others, FortiMail, a family of high-performance, multi-layered email security platforms that remove unwanted spam, provide maximum protection for blended email-related threats and facilitate regulatory compliance.
Fortinet is the pioneer and leading provider of ASIC-accelerated unified threat management, or UTM, security systems, which are used by enterprises and service providers to increase their security while reducing total operating costs.
Fortinet solutions were built from the ground up to integrate multiple levels of security protection--including firewall, antivirus, intrusion prevention, VPN, spyware prevention and anti-spam -- designed to help customers protect against network and content level threats.
Leveraging a custom ASIC and unified interface, Fortinet solutions offer advanced security functionality that scales from remote office to chassis-based solutions with integrated management and reporting.
Fortinet solutions have won multiple awards around the world and are the only security products that are certified eight times over by ICSA Labs (firewall, antivirus, IPSec, SSL, IPS, client antivirus detection, cleaning and antispyware).
Fortinet is privately held and based in Sunnyvale, California. TradeArabia News Service
