Taameer Jordan partners with Chinese builder

Taameer Jordan, a Black Pearl Global Opportunity Fund portfolio company, said it has signed a partnership deal with VMC Global of China, one of China's strongest integrated construction companies.
The MoU outlines the possible co-operation between the two firms.
The initial focus will be on establishing a framework allowing for the successful completion of Taameer's existing projects, stated the company in a statement.
A master developer of residential and commercial projects in Jordan, Taameer said both firms were studying new developments and projects in the Hashimite kingdom.
VMC Global, established as a Shanghai company in 2004, is a premier privately owned firm mastering in international development, consultancy, design and construction.
It has successfully executed projects for a range of industries in various cities in China and other parts of the world including Shanghai Expo 2010, Disney China and South Korean Midan R City.
On the deal, VMC Group chairman Wahdan said the tieup with Taameer Jordan was key to its foray into the Jordanian Market. "VMC has always looked for new opportunities and with this we believe we have found the right partner in Jordan," he stated.
VMC was ranked in 2015 as the fourth strongest construction firm in China based on its capability, capacity and track record.
Taameer board member Omar Khalifeh said both the firms were likely to seal the agreement in the first quarter of 2016 and soon launch joint projects.
VMC partnership would create a new chapter for the Taameer and VMC being the appropriate partner for this new stage.-TradeArabia News Service
