NDT Global, Enbridge collaborate on gas pipeline crack detection

NDT Global, a leader in ultrasonic crack inspection and advanced inline diagnostics, has announced an innovative development partnership with Enbridge, a multinational pipeline and energy company based in Calgary, Canada, to deliver the Power of Clarity for crack detection to the natural gas pipeline sector.
This initiative represents the latest chapter in a long-standing partnership between two industry leaders, dedicated to enhancing the safety and reliability of pipeline infrastructure, said NDT Global in a statement.
This partnership leverages NDT Global's extensive experience in liquid pipeline crack diagnosis and applies it to natural gas pipelines.
Developing a new ultrasonic technology will allow for the precise detection and classification of pipeline cracks. Providing operators with accurate diagnostic data will empower effective risk mitigation, optimization of remediation costs, and enhanced pipeline throughput, it stated.
NDT Global said its collaboration with th Canadian group emphasizes a shared commitment to the long-term safety and reliability of gas pipelines.
