AI turbocharges rapid response against cyber threats

, March 5, 2024

Alaa AlBahrani, a Cyber Security Expert, highlighted the significant role of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving early warning capabilities and enabling swift response to cyber threats faced by companies and institutions, in a seminar hosted by NGN.

AlBahrani highlighted that AI-powered systems have the ability to analyze user behavior, detect abnormal patterns, and proactively respond to potential attacks, thereby preventing damage before it occurs.

The seminar, titled "Cybersecurity in the Era of AI," was organised by NGN, a leading Bahraini IT Systems Integrations and Managed Cyber Security Company, as part of NGN’s awareness Majlis aimed at boosting knowledge about cybersecurity. The event brought together a group of experts in information security, data, and cybersecurity.

"Within the field of AI-driven data analysis and cybersecurity, we're witnessing significant progress that profoundly influences analytical capabilities and cyber protection. By harnessing the power of AI, cybersecurity solutions can adeptly identify emerging and unknown threats, along with recognising threats that have previously infiltrated the network.” Mr. Alaa AlBahrani said.

“In light of hackers' persistent efforts to devise undetectable methods and catch organisations off guard, these AI applications have the potential to eliminate or substantially reduce the consequences of advanced hacking techniques that are yet to be classified."

AlBahrani further highlighted the potential of AI and cybersecurity integration to increase the productivity of human capital within organisations. By leveraging AI-powered cybersecurity applications to perform security diagnostics, IT security personnel can focus on reviewing threats diagnosed by the application, thereby allowing companies to manage the time and efforts of IT staff more effectively and efficiently in safeguarding the organisation's digital resources.

As a result, productivity is increased, and the overall effectiveness of the cybersecurity system is enhanced. Furthermore, this integration of advanced technology with human expertise can yield greater efficiency in mitigating the risks of cyber threats, allowing organisations to maintain a secure and resilient network infrastructure. -TradeArabia News Service
