Alba holds workshop for management executives

MANAMA, May 6, 2018

Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), the Bahrain-based aluminium smelter, continues to underline its commitment as a leader in developing its people, human assets, with a series of leadership workshops for senior management to be held at Alba Club.

The workshops which kicked off today (May 6) will run until May 8, for Alba top management, second line management and first line management, said a statement.

Presented by the renowned management expert John Skladan, the one-day workshop under the title of ‘Why do I want to be a leader’ is designed to provide a practical framework to each of Aba’s management levels as the company is preparing to be transformed with Line 6 Expansion Project, said a statement.

Skladan used in his workshop a number of concepts to build a resilient culture through alignment and preparedness to change, it said.

Alba’s chief executive officer Tim Murray said: “We believe that the preparation for a better tomorrow is doing our best today.”

“By developing our management team through tailored-workshops, we will be prepared for our successful transformation as the count-down Line 6 start-up is underway,” he added.

John Skladan is a well-known trainer with over 40 years of experience of working at leadership levels with corporates such as Honeywell and Navistar, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
