DP World, UAE Region has underlined its position as the leading trade enabler by winning the ‘Supply Chain Hub Award’ at the recent Logistics Middle East Awards 2018 in Dubai.

Abdulla Bin Damithan, chief commercial officer of DP World, UAE Region received the award in the presence of leading industry executives from across the Middle East, said a statement.

Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem, group chairman and chief executive officer, DP World, said: “The recognition highlights the pivotal role our port and free zone play in sustaining Jebel Ali’s position as the regional business hub that offers world-class infrastructure, logistics services, technology and equipment to serve over 2.5 billion people from the Middle East, Africa and Asia.”

In response to the emerging market demand, DP World, UAE Region last year upgraded its cranes in Jebel Ali Port and increased Terminal 3’s capacity from 18 million TEU to 19.5 million TEU, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
