Obeikan Investment selects Infor business solutions

RIYADH, March 15, 2018

Infor, a leading provider of industry-specific cloud applications, revealed that Saudi Arabia’s Obeikan Investment Group (OIG) has selected its enterprise resource planning (ERP) and supply chain planning solutions for its digital transformation journey in the Middle East

The solutions include Infor LN, Infor Supplier Exchange, Infor Supply Chain Planning, Infor Risk & Compliance, and Infor OS to bolster its overall business efficiency and productivity, said a statement.

OIG, whose activities include education, publishing, printing and packaging solutions across the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey, wanted the most advanced solution for streamlining two-way collaboration of procurement, performance, and billing information with its suppliers, it added.

The group has already successfully deployed Infor LN to drive efficiency, productivity, and achieved complete visibility for a seamless process flow whilst facilitating best practice and versatile communications channels.

Infor LN provides visibility and accuracy of OIG’s operations in its key markets across the supply chain.

Abdullah Obeikan, group CEO of Obeikan Investment Group, said: “We were in search of a solution that would integrate data across our major operations to increase operational excellence and enhance service levels to our large customer base in the region.”

“To that end I am excited to partner with Infor, who will deliver positive outcomes to the group’s service delivery and supply chain capabilities through their leading edge enterprise–wide eco-system,” he said.

Tarik Taman, vice president and general manager for IMEA, Infor, said: “In the Middle East, ERP deployment is essential for digital transformation to radically change the performance or reach of enterprises and enable them to be in full control of their entire supply chain.”

“The deployment at OIG is a major achievement for us and our partners. This milestone will transform their supply chain and support OIG’s ability to make decisions rapidly and accurately across the entire spectrum of its operations in the region, allowing for an excellent customer experience,” he said.

Later this year, OIG will also start using Infor’s Supplier Exchange and Supply Chain Planning solutions. Key benefits of Infor Supplier Exchange include quicker responses to changing customer requirements, increased operational efficiencies, and lower supply chain costs across OIG’s ecosystem. OIG will be able to attain greater visibility of its inbound shipments and improve its tracking from dispatch through onsite receipt.

Infor Supply Chain planning will ensure that OIG has real-time information to assess how its supply chain is working and how it can continuously improve.

In the future, this solution can support the redistribution of excess inventory to other locations within the network based on the redistribution regulations established for a particular region.

This would prevent over-ordering from the supplier when there is excess stock in the distribution network, it stated. – TradeArabia News Service
