Firm named to manage Saudi franchise initiative
RIYADH, March 8, 2018
World Franchise Associates, in partnership with Amjad Arab Office for Commercial Services, has been appointed to manage a major initiative to boost the franchise industry in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Franchise Launch & Activation Program is being carried out under the direction of the Ministry of Commerce and Investment (MCI).
This initiative is spearheaded by the General Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEA) Authority (Monsha’at), said a statement.
The purpose of this initiative is to: Make franchising a key driver for SMEA business in the kingdom; build a thriving and sustainable franchise industry; and improve the franchise eco-system in Saudi Arabia in accordance with the Kingdom 2030 Vision Realization Program and the National Transformation Program, it said.
The primary role of World Franchise Associates is to help achieve sustainable growth in the Saudi economy through the franchise business model.
World Franchise Associates will oversee and execute upon program elements including: conduct market research, and benchmark studies; coordinate seminars and conferences to drive awareness and education of franchising; launch a marketing awareness program including development of customized platforms for communications; organise trade missions and international exhibitions within Saudi Arabia.
