Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has partnered with leading UK consultants and technical specialists TRL to boost innovation in service delivery in the Authority.

Reaffirming its commitment to keep upgrading its innovation drive, RTA said it will take into account people’s happiness as the main objective through a variety of smart and electronic services it delivers to the public from different social segments.

"We, at RTA, always attach great attention to research and development, as these two elements move forward our efforts towards the more innovative approach in uplifting our work performance, which would, in turn, lead to the upswing of our services provided to the public, especially the public transport users," BuSehab said.

Partnering with reputed organisations such as TRL in the research and innovation accomplishment would be an added value to RTA’s change drive that is taking the authority to new horizons of excellence and innovation in a way that they excellence and innovation become a daily culture all over RTA," remarked Nasser Hamad BuSehab, the chief executive of RTA’s strategy and corporate governance sector, after signing the deal with Rob Wallis, chief executive of TRL.

RTA, he stated, would carry on its pursuit of harnessing the latest in technology, research and development, excellence, sustainability and innovation.

"This is our methodology to be always on the climax of our performance to assist make the UAE, in general, and Dubai in particular, the best place to live in the world thanks to the wise leadership of our government and the relentless perseverance and tireless efforts of our work team," added BuShehab.

On the partnership, Wallis said: "TRL will work in partnership with RTA to enable access to expert advice and assistance covering research and innovation across its various projects and initiatives - helping them to generate innovative and creative ideas that will result in the introduction of new products, services and improvements in their operations."

"Expertise in research and development are major factors in reinforcing Dubai's leading position across the GCC and the world," noted Wallis.
