Ukraine offers various investment opportunities to Iranians, particularly in the agriculture sector, according to a senior Iranian offical.

Iran’s merchants and business people should take advantage of the opportunity to work on some 300 projects that the Ukrainian government is handing over to the private sector, Iranian ambassador Mohammad Beheshti Monfared was quoted as saying in an Iran Daily News report, citing Tasnim News Agency.

Monfared made the comments while addressing an economic meeting in Iran's northern city of Rasht yesterday (January 4).

Referring to Ukraine's advanced agricultural machinery, fertile soil, high precipitation levels and low-cost labour, the ambassador highlighted the good grounds for extraterritorial agriculture in Europe's second largest country which has a population of 46 million.

Monfared said industries in Gilan Province can begin marketing programmes to sell pharmaceutical products in Ukraine, added the report.
