Drydocks World wins Shell HSSE award

DUBAI, October 30, 2016

Dubai-based Drydocks World, an international service provider to the shipping, offshore, oil, gas and energy sectors, said it has won top honours at the Shell HSSE Contractor Workshop Awards 2015-2016, held recently in Heathrow, UK.

Drydocks World was presented with the ‘Most Noteworthy Effort in HSSE for 2015-2016’, award in recognition of its continuous effort to improve health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) standards, performance and culture, said a statement from the company.

The organisation, which currently employs more than 9,000 employees from 54 different nations, said it had overcome major challenges to meet the objective of ‘Zero Harm to people and the environment.’

The yard has benefited from over 33 years of past experience and strives to utilise this experience to continuously improve all activities towards “Zero Harm”, stated Drydocks World.

The Dubai group said since the implementation of the pledge four years ago, significant plans have been consistently developed and successfully executed to ensure effective, transparent and comprehensive communication.

This ensured awareness among people and focused supervision to guarantee compliance at all levels, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
