Sarah Ferguson ... new finance director

EDM names new finance chief

LONDON, July 17, 2016

UK-based EDM, a leading global provider of training simulators to the civil aviation and defence sectors, has appointed Sarah Ferguson as its finance director.

She succeeds previous finance director, Geoff Moss, who left EDM in 2015 after 17 years with the company, said a statement from EDM.

In her new role, Ferguson will join EDM’s board of directors and take over responsibility for all financial aspects of the company, it said.

She joined EDM last year as head of finance from automotive seating upholstery manufacturer Proseat, where she was financial controller from 2011, it added.

During her 22-year-long career, Ferguson had held senior finance roles with leading manufacturing companies including James Dewhurst, Akcros Chemicals and Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, it said.

After gaining her Masters in Accounting and Finance from the University of Central Lancashire in 1997, she went on to become Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Cima) qualified in 1999.

Commenting on the appointment, Tony Bermingham, managing director of EDM, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ferguson on board in this key position.”

“She brings a wealth of financial experience from the manufacturing sector to our company and will play a vital role as we continue our rapid global growth,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
