Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world’s leading aluminium smelters, recently played host to Amir Al Baqali - author of the “Bold Step,” at its premises.

The book, which was sponsored by Alba, addresses the pivotal role of HRH Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier Minister, in establishing a culture of Motorsport in the Middle East region and the kingdom by laying the foundation of the Bahrain’s Formula One Grand Prix, said a statement from the company.

The book was presented to Alba’s chief executive officer Tim Murray in the presence of the chief financial officer Ali Al Baqali; chief marketing officer Khalid A Latif; and acting chief operations officer Amin Sultan as an expression of gratitude for all the support provided by the company, it stated.

Commenting on the book, Murray said: “The F1 Gulf Air Bahrain GP is the Gulf’s largest annual sporting, business and leisure platform, as well as Bahrain’s leading international event and shop window to the world.”
