Lindgren ... a major milestone for DCAF

DCAF receives approval for maintenance service

Dubai-based DC Aviation Al-Futtaim (DCAF), a leading private and business aviation facility, has received CAR145 approval from UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority for providing maintenance services for the Bombardier Global Express and Challenger 604/605 type aircraft.

DCAF is a joint venture between Al-Futtaim and Germany’s DC Aviation. Its core areas of business include: aircraft management, maintenance, fixed base operator (FBO) and ground handling and business jet charter.

The CAR145 also provides approval to DCAF for a battery shop and service fire protection equipment, said a statement from the company.

DCAF now offers line maintenance support to customers operating the Airbus 320 family, Bombardier Global Express, the Challenger 604/605 in addition to the Global 6000 and Global 5000 Vision Flight Deck aircraft types with maintenance performed in a 5,700 sq m dedicated hangar – the only business jet hangar at Al Maktoum International Airport, it added.

As part of DCAF’s expansion an additional 6,800 sq m of hangar space will be completed by Q1 2017, it said.

The existing DCAF hangar can easily accommodate multiple ACJ or BBJ type aircraft, ultra-long range business jets such as the Falcon 7X, Global Express or Gulfstream G650. Located in a prime position just off the airport’s runway, the DCAF hangar and 7,700 sq m dedicated ramp parking enables 24-7 support, maintenance services and operation of private and businesses jets of all sizes, said the statement.

Michael Lindgren, director maintenance at DCAF, said: “This is a major milestone for DCAF as it means we are now in a position to provide comprehensive maintenance services to our fleet of managed aircraft.”

“The UAE CAR145 further reiterates our commitment to meeting the highest quality standards and processes to ensure that our customers and their assets are safe and secure,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
