Aluminium upstream-downstream integration in focus

The integration of the aluminium upstream and downstream sectors throughout the GCC will be the focus of a leading aluminium conference and exhibition to take place in Saudi Arabia.
The Arab International Aluminium Conference (Arabal) will run from Noevember 15 to 17 at the Dhahran International Exhibitions Center.
It is being hosted by Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden) and will feature speakers from Alcoa Refining, International Aluminium Institute, AZ China, Ma'aden, Sohar, EGA, and ABB.
Chief executive officers and industry experts will examine the current situation of aluminium markets and investment opportunities in the Gulf region on day one of the conference.
It will also include giving market analysis, researching the sustainability of the industry and discussing the challenges facing investors.
The second day of the conference will focus on the aluminium industry's best practices in environment, health and safety, as well as operational excellence, productivity, innovation and technology.
Meanwhile, the third day will provide participants the opportunity to visit Ma'aden Aluminium's Ras Al Khair plant.
Ma'aden Aluminium (MA) is a joint venture between the mining company and Alcoa. The $10.8 billion project has been designed to be the largest and most efficient integrated aluminium complex in the world. - TradeArabia News Service
