Gulf Warehousing Company partners with UPS

DOHA, May 2, 2015

Gulf Warehousing Company, a leading logistics provider in Qatar, has signed an agreement with United Parcel Service (UPS) to become the authorised service contractor for its express parcel service starting from June.

The agreement allows GWC to provide UPS products and services, including express parcel delivery, as well as access to the UPS global network serving over 220 countries and territories worldwide, said a statement from the Qatari company.

Enhanced express parcel service in Qatar will translate into an improved service portfolio for the customers including better pick-up and delivery times and the option of integrated solutions including multi-modal offerings, contract logistics and brokerage, it stated.

There will also be an emphasis on improved technology to provide customers with shipping tools, visibility tools and track and trace tools, it added.

GWC chairman Sheikh Abdulla bin Fahad bin Jassem bin Jabor Al-Thani said: "This partnership will help local and international businesses within Qatar by offering both speed of transit and a high level of customer service."

"As a Qatari shareholding company, we take every opportunity to provide more services to the nation that has given us such a unique growth platform," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
