A US company has won a $22 million contract to maintain Isa Air Base and American anti-missile defence systems in Riffa.

Texas-based Kellogg Brown and Root Services will provide management and administration services, according to a US Defence Department contracts update.

It involves provision of management, supervision, labour, materials and equipment, among other things, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The maximum value of the deal, including the base period and four optional years, is $113,824,554.

"Work will be performed at Isa (Air Base), Bahrain, and is expected to be completed by September 2019," says the update.
