Alba's outstanding safety credentials were praised by a delegation from the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) committee from the Riffa Power Station.

The delegation was welcomed by Alba chief executive officer Laurent Schmitt at the plant.

Also present at the meeting was health, safety and environment manager Hussain Ali Al Qassab and other senior officials from Alba.

The EWA delegation was visiting Alba to gain more insight into the company's safety and security procedures as well as learn about the processes behind some of its outstanding safety records.

Al Qassab and fire chief Ayoob Yousif Al Salman gave a presentation highlighting Alba's safety processes.

'Alba's dedication to safety is well known. It is part of the company's work culture and has given rise to a secure working environment for all of its employees,' Schmitt said.

'It was a privilege to welcome the delegation from the EWA and share our experience with them. We consider such opportunities to be another demonstration of our initiatives to be a good corporate citizen,' he added.

The EWA delegation was briefed on the production process of Alba's high grade aluminium products.-TradeArabia News Service
