Al Jaber LEGT Engineering and Contracting (ALEC), a major construction group in the UAE, has announced the opening of its new factory at Dubai Industrial City, a member of Tecom Investments.

The new facility of ALEC has been built on a 420,000 sq ft plot at the machinery and equipment zone of the industrial destination, said a statement from Tecom Investments.

With five manufacturing/processing divisions including rebar, formwork, MEP, ceiling and partition as well as facilities management divisions, the new unit aims to serve the projects undertaken by the construction division of the parent company ALEC, said its top official.

Sivanand Krishnan, factory manager, ALEC said: "We are proud to operate out of Dubai Industrial City as it provides the right business-friendly environment for us in the machinery and equipment zone."
