Al Bayader building new complex in Doha

Al Bayader International, a regional pioneer in the fast growing disposable products market, is building a new regional head office and production and logistics facilities in the new Doha Industrial Area.
The company has signed a contract with Al Safwa Trading & Contracting Company for the construction of the project.
The 11,000 sq m complex will comprise an EPS foam thermoforming production factory, warehouses, offices and a showroom. The QR17 million contract, is expected to be completed in early 2009.
Qatar was one of Al Bayader's first regional branches, commencing operations in 2004.
CEO Nidal Haddad said business in Qatar has been forging ahead at a strong and consistent pace over the past few years, prompting the decision to upgrade the company's operations.
"At present we operate from rented offices and warehouses ," he explains. "The new facility will add a new dimension to the business by transforming us into a manufacturing and distribution centre."
Haddad said the complex will see the introduction of high speed extruding and thermoforming production line for the manufacture of EPS boxes, trays and tableware.
"It is highly versatile and has the capacity to meet the demand across all our markets," he says. "In addition we will have a state-of-the-art universal moulding line, designed for the production of EPS cups. Furthermore flow pack machines will be installed in line with stacked EPS tableware and cups, offering 6 colours printed packaging with barcoding designed for supermarket shelves.
Out of the total area of 11,000 sq m the factory will occupy 1200 sq m, the warehouses will cover 6000 sq m, and 1500 sq m will be taken up by the offices and showroom.
The architectural design has been conceptualized and developed by Lecaudey & Mathieux – Paris, France, the same agency which designed Al Bayader's new Jebel Ali regional offices. – TradeArabia News Service
