ISAB convenes inaugural meeting
RIYADH, February 15, 2024
The International Scientific Advisory Board for Food Safety (ISAB) has convened for its inaugural meeting at the headquarters of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) in Riyadh.
The board members, who are experts in food safety from around the world, discussed key topics such as scientific risk assessment, food risk communication, and developing solutions to reduce the causes of food poisoning incidents.
SFDA established the board as an advisory arm to provide scientific advice, support, and recommendations to address key issues related to food and feed safety in line with global best practices. The board comprises seven experts, specialists, and officials from various scientific institutions and centres.--TradeArabia News Service
