Bahrain to host major skin diseases, treatments conference

Leading experts and speakers from around the world as well as the region will discuss and showcase the latest developments in chronic skin disease treatments at the first Dermatology, Laser and Aesthetics Conference in Bahrain.
Under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, president of the Supreme Council of Health, the BDA Medical Training Center will organise the conference on November 29 and 30, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Manama.
The conference will attract 18 speakers from leading skin care and cosmetic specialists in Bahrain, the Gulf and the world to showcase the latest developments in chronic skin diseases and treatments such as psoriasis, eczema, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery on the face, body shaping and restoration of burns, said a statement from the organisers.
The conference includes five workshops that offer new techniques in minimally invasive plastic surgeries, skin rejuvenation and skin rejuvenation, as well as the treatment of burns, ulcers, the latest trends in tensile fibres, fillers, and body shaping devices, it said.
The conference will also include open dialogue sessions with officials and influential in the organisation and development of the cosmetic field in Bahrain, in addition to three round tables that will draw recommendations about the future of this sector in the kingdom, it added.
President of the conference, Dr Nidal Abdulrahman Khalifa, pointed out that this event aims to identify the latest international practices in the field of skin and beauty, and to settle these practices in Bahrain to enhance their progress in this field. Bahraini doctors, technicians and practitioners, can raise awareness of the necessity of caution from the cosmetic medicine prosecutor, and the health complications caused by plastic surgery.
She said that this conference opens the door for all interested to discuss the latest developments in the field of skin and cosmetic surgery, and represents an opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices, and to know the latest treatments and techniques used in cosmetic operations, especially in Europe, America and the world, and how to use them in the Gulf and Arab region.
She also highlighted the latest developments in the cosmetic and reconstructive surgery sector as well as introducing the latest techniques and methods adopted in this field, stressing the importance of the results of the open dialogue session and the recommendations of the round tables accompanying the conference.
Deputy chairman of the conference and chairman of the organising committee Dr Ahmed Darwish Shahda said that this conference is a unique event as a meeting point for Bahraini doctors working in this field.
Dr Shahda said that the conference will also support national efforts to make Bahrain an excellent destination in the field of medical and training tourism by enriching the cosmetic and cosmetic medical content in the kingdom, following up the latest scientific research and the latest international techniques in the field of surgery, My heart and plastic surgery and restoration.
